Dr. Ross Ahlhorn is Assistant Professor of Trumpet at the University of Central Arkansas and Second Trumpet with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra. A winner of the Golden Classical International Music Competition and the Grand Prize Virtuoso Competition, he has performed at Carnegie Hall and the Mozarteum in Salzburg. Previously, Dr. Ahlhorn taught at James Madison University and other institutions in Virginia, while maintaining an active freelance career. He has performed with the Waynesboro Symphony, Charlottesville Symphony, and more, and has held principal trumpet roles in various ensembles internationally. He earned his Doctor of Musical Arts from James Madison University and is an S.E. Shires Co. Performing Artist.
