David Schepps, Cello

David Schepps is Professor of Cello at the University of New Mexico and an internationally recognized soloist, chamber musician, and educator. He has performed in prestigious venues such as Lincoln Center and the Phillips Collection, and appeared as soloist with orchestras across North and South America, Europe, and Asia. A longtime member of the Grand Teton Music Festival, he has collaborated with artists including Lynn Harrell, Wendy Warner, and Gary Karr. Schepps has taught master classes worldwide and held previous university positions at Wichita State and LSU-Lafayette. He earned degrees from Mannes and Arizona State, and studied with Pierre Fournier, Claus Adam, and Timothy Eddy.
